Welcome to Startr.in. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services. By creating an account, buying a product or otherwise using the services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

1. What we provide

Startr.in is a technology platform that lets sellers create product landing pages, accept online payments through their own Razorpay account, and deliver digital products and invoices automatically. We are not the seller of products listed by sellers and are not a party to the sale between a buyer and a seller.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
• You must give accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the law.

3. Seller plan and fees

• Sellers pay a subscription fee as shown on our pricing page (currently ₹300 per month, unlimited products). Fees may change with reasonable notice on the website.
• We charge no commission or platform fee on your sales. Payments go through your own Razorpay account, and Razorpay’s gateway charges and settlement timelines apply separately.
• Subscription fees are for access to the platform and are non-refundable unless required by law or stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

4. Seller responsibilities

As a seller you are solely responsible for:

• Your products, descriptions, prices, images and files, and for having the right to sell and distribute them.
• Delivering what you promise, customer support, and your refund and cancellation policy.
• Your Razorpay account, KYC, and correct API keys; compliance with Razorpay’s terms.
• Taxes, including GST and income tax, and the accuracy of business details shown on invoices.
• Handling your buyers’ personal information lawfully and only for order fulfilment and support, unless they have agreed otherwise.
• Any Terms & Conditions you add to your store. These bind the buyer and seller only; they cannot override these Terms.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use the services to sell or distribute anything that is illegal, infringes copyright or other rights, is pirated or leaked, is fraudulent or misleading, is hateful, obscene or harmful, contains malware, or violates Razorpay’s prohibited-business rules. You may not try to bypass payment or OTP verification, access files without paying, scrape or disrupt the platform, or attempt to gain unauthorised access. We may remove content or products and suspend accounts without notice for violations.

6. Buying from a seller

• When you buy, your contract is with the seller. Price, taxes and what you receive are shown on the product page before you pay.
• You must provide a valid email address and a mobile number that you have verified with an OTP.
• Payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Digital delivery: after a successful, verified payment you get access on the confirmation page and, where available, as an email attachment along with your invoice. Access is for your personal use; you may not resell, share publicly or redistribute the product unless the seller allows it.
• Refunds and support: because products are digital and delivered instantly, refunds are handled by the seller under their policy and applicable law. Please contact the seller first. If money was deducted but you did not receive your order, contact us and we will help investigate with the seller and Razorpay.

7. Intellectual property

The Startr.in name, logo, software and site design belong to us. Sellers keep ownership of their own content and give us a limited licence to host, display and deliver it so the services can work. Buyers get a personal, non-transferable licence to use purchased products as the seller permits.

8. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the services running but do not promise they will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and we may modify or discontinue parts of the services. Payments and OTP messages depend on third parties such as Razorpay, Google and mobile operators, whose availability we do not control.

10. Disclaimer

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not verify or guarantee the quality, legality or accuracy of any seller’s products.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, loss of profits, data or goodwill, or for disputes between buyers and sellers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services will not exceed the subscription fees the seller paid us in the three months before the claim (or ₹1,000 for buyers). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your products, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the platform or other users. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability and indemnity) will continue to apply.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts in India where Startr.in is based have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Continued use of the services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
